Rose and Crown Pub Ludlow

Rose And Crown Pub, Ludlow

The Rose And Crown pub, Ludlow. is the oldest pubs in the town, dating back to the 13th Century. It is situated on Church Street just off the Castle Square. It is owned by the Joules Brewery based in Market Drayton and serves several real ales including Slumbering Monk and Blonde. The refurbishment of the building has retained it’s cosy character, utilising a combination of antique and reclaimed timber, and the central courtyard is very atmospheric. While you’re having a drink have a look around for the wooden mice carved by Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson. There are regular music nights too – open mic nights on some fridays as well as the blues jam organised by the South Shropshire Blues Club, and a trad jazz band who play on tuesdays.
