Events in Ludlow and Shropshire
With so much going on throughout the year there is always a good excuse to come to Ludlow and South Shropshire. Sutton Court Farm Holiday Cottages makes an ideal place to stay whether sampling the wares at the Ludlow Food Festival, placing a wager at Ludlow Race Course or enjoying a wide range of music and art at the Fringe Festival. Ludlow also stages the Spring Festival, the sister event to the food festival which happens in May. Further Afield you can enjoy the Burwarton Show – one of the countries biggest agricultural fairs, Shrewsbury Flower Show and Shrewsbury Folk Festival. Late in the year comes the Ludlow Medieval Fayre, which, like the Spring and Food Festivals, is held in the grounds of Ludlow Castle. For the past couple of years Sutton Court Farm has had the honour of hosting some of the musicians that perform at the fayre.
If you after something smaller and more eclectic there are numerous smaller events around Ludlow and Shropshire that are worth looking in to including the Bishops Castle Beer Festival and the Michaelmas Day celebrations, the Sheep Music Festival held in Presteigne and many others.
