The Riverside Aymestry is a few miles south of Ludlow. This great country pub on the banks of the River Lugg in Herefordshire, the Riverside is housed in a ‘black and white’ Tudor half timbered former coaching inn. The Chef Patron Andrew Link serves ‘traditional fare with a modern twist’. Recommended.

The Oak, Wigmore, Herefordshire has recently taken aboard a new chef in the form of Ian Pugh, who cut his teeth at the former Michelin starred restaurant Mr Underhills in Ludlow. The menu makes full use of the fantastic local produce from the surrounding area. Lunches are from Thurdsay to Saturday, Dinners from Wednesday to Saturday, and then of course Sunday Lunches – locally raised beef and pork with a pork and cider gravy that is not to be missed. Booking ahead is recommended at this increasingly popular pub.
