Wilderhope Manor

The imposing Wilderhope Manor is nestled in the beautiful countryside around Apedale just on the other side of Wenlock Edge from Sutton Court Farm. It’s run as YHA accommodation but you can still go for walks around the outside anytime and see inside on Wednesdays and Sundays between 2 and 6.

Heath Chapel

This lovely 12th century Norman style chapel is just past the Tally Ho pub in Bouldon. If you want to have look inside the key is behind the board. Why they don’t put it on the front of the board is a mystery I have been unable to solve…

Ludlow Spring Festival 2018

We spent a great day at the Ludlow Spring Festival in the grounds of Ludlow’s amazing castle. Vintage cars aplenty including this stunningly restored AA van. More real ale than you could shake a CAMRA approved stick at, delicious local food and live music including Ludlow’s own Call Of The Kraken to round the days event of in fine style.

Sutton Court Farm re-opens it’s doors!

Well, we finally got there! All the cottages have been refurbished and looking mighty good. Photo’s to follow! Our new Okofen Pellmatic biomass boiler is fired up and the freshly installed central heating system is making the cottages toasty warm in this unseasonably cold start to May. Thanks to the Neil and the rest of his alumni of the Newcastle Uni cycling club and there families who stayed at Sutton Court Farm for there regular get together / ride.

The food, which has always been excellent but is now being being cooked by the talented lot from Shrewsbury’s excellent CSONS, is another.

Drone Footage of Flounders’ Folly

Here’s some stunning drone footage taken by Still Droning On from Flounders’ Folly on Wenlock Edge. It gives an idea of the beautiful landscape we are lucky enough to call home in Corvedale and the Shropshire Hills. It’s a lovely walk up to the Folly from Callow Hill, a short drive from Sutton Court Farm.

Rhubarb Ketchup

Rhubarb Ketchup

There are so many brilliant producers of food and drink around Ludlow and the Shropshire in general. Here’s another example – Rhubarb Ketchup from the Ludlow Street Kitchen. Sounds weird but it’s great with sausages or even smoked mackerel. Get yours from the Broad Bean deli on Broad Street in Ludlow.
